This initiative will see TEC actively reduce their carbon footprint by measuring the greenhouse gas emissions from business travel, converting trips into trees, and supporting reforestation and renewable energy projects worldwide. This effort aligns with TEC’s mission to reduce their carbon footprint while progressing towards net-zero targets.

A New Approach to Sustainable Business Travel

TEC’s collaboration with Trees4Travel enables a more sustainable approach to business travel by calculating and offsetting carbon emissions through carefully selected reforestation projects. For every business trip booked, a tree will be planted, representing a tangible step toward reducing TEC’s environmental impact. Additionally, each tree planted will be backed by a United Nations-certified renewable energy project, further contributing to carbon reduction and ensuring emissions are removed as quickly as possible.

By combining tree planting with renewable energy credits, TEC’s initiative offers a dual approach to sustainability. While reforestation helps absorb carbon emissions, restore ecosystems, and support biodiversity, the connection to renewable energy projects ensures an immediate reduction in CO2 emissions. This innovative method supports the transition to a low-carbon economy and helps build resilience in local communities.
